Meet the founder

Naom Maina

Founder & Director

Naom Maina is a Nyamira native and a Bachelor of Gender and Development Studies graduate from Egerton University, currently completing her Master’s in Project Planning and Management at Kisii University. Her career has spanned UN Women (East and Southern Africa Regional Office), HIAS Kenya, Population Council, and URAIA Trust, with a focus on gender, inclusion, refugee programming, and policy advocacy. She is a certified Trainer of Trainers in Gender in Humanitarian Action. She founded Inua NextGen Kenya to bring that experience home — to the communities she grew up in, designing programmes that are local, evidence-based, and built to last.
